Dead End (feat. Clarisse Muvemba)

A 2 track tech-house single (16m 18s) — released May 1st 2008 on Heya Hifi

Clarisse Muvemba, renowned for her amazing debut ep "Roses", celebrated the success of the release by giving birth to a child. As a tribute to Clarisse and her new family member, the gentlemen of Bangana decided to record a song. Inspired by contrasts (as always) their work resulted in something very dark. Nothing that you would normally associate with the joy that derives from becoming a mother.

To make the song a bit more personal but at the same time even darker, Combo and Alf decided to add some left over vocal takes from earlier Clarisse recordings. Imbedded in the techy soundscape, her deep voice tells a story of a love that is lost, forever. No matter how hard she tries, it is nowhere to be found. She has reached a dead end. So, in a twisted, but true Bangana style, here is their homage to happiness.

On D'Julz' remix he takes away some of the tension and replaces it with suspense. One anxiety gets swapped for another. A state of mind that keeps your feet movin' while awaiting the next rush.

Great tracks! The best Heya release so far! I really like both version but from a first listening session I think I would rather play the D'Julz remix! Big respect! - Trickski

D'Julz mix is ace!!!! - Nic Fanciulli

It's good! - Danny Krivit

Incredible. I love this record! - Tedd Patterson

Great release!!! This is my favorite from Bangana since "Roses". Both mixes are great. Nice idea for D'Julz to do a remix. I will definitely be playing this over the summer. - Willie Graaf
